Pork Noodle at Quilin - SS15 Subang Jaya

Tuesday, April 18, 2006

MF has mentioned the pork noodle in Quilin to me and eatinout more than half a year back, finally I have the chance to try the pork noodle here. This is the second I visited to Quilin in fact, during the first visit, I was asked to wait for 40 mintues, It was late and I need to go for other appointment (It was Saturday 3:20pm!) therefore I decided to go.

The second visit, I waited 35minutes and this is my bowl of pork noodle:

Pork Noodle RM 4.50 (small), RM5.00 (big)

You can see, there are shredded pork, pork liver, pork lark, pork intestines and quit a lot of minced meat. I dont' usually eat intestines, but I still try it for the sake trying.. it was over cooked, it was hard. The soup was rich, can taste the sweet of pork stock, and it season with white pepper. It taste so good and I end up with lapping all the soup :p

The owner is cooking pork noodle

Perhaps this is the only decent pork noodle in this area, hence it always full of people who is willing to wait. The uncle has no helper to cook the noodle and yet the business is good, therefore got to wait for so long.

Well, when talk about of pork noodle, I still prefer the one in OUG, the soup is sweeten with seafood. I will re-visit one day, stay tune.

Tried it once years ago, waited for like about 40 mins, the stock is too sweat and must be laden with msg. Definately overrated. Prefer the one in Paramount Garden (Rest New Seaview).

Yes.. I visited this place before, and waited for 40 minutes, that is around 4 pm. Crazy, I feel it's too much of pepper powder in the soup, maybe should ask the uncle to safe it when serving me :p. The OUG one is it next to a curry shop??

soowm, mf: I kind of like the taste leh.. especially the pepper taste.. The only thing I can say is my tastebuds is vary from others..

I'm not sure if the owner put lot of MSG. yes, it is sweet, but I don't feel thirsty after the meal... so, maybe it's not MSG? i dunno.
